abstract PURPOSE: A part or all of the lubricant oil is modified with a specific unsaturated monomer, thus improving the detergent dispersity of the lubricant. n CONSTITUTION: To a lubricant of mineral oil or synthetic lubricant of hydrocarbon oil with less than 5,000 molecular weight or polyglycol is added 0.1W50wt% of unsaturated monomers as unsaturated carboxylic ester, unsaturated ether, unsaturated carbonamide or imide, which contains O and/or N in the molecule and has polymerizable C-C double bonds, and they are made to react in the presence of a radical initiator as diisopropyl peroxide or azobisisobutyronitrile at about 80W250°C, thus modifying a part or all of the parts of the lubricant oil. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
