abstract | NEW MATERIAL:An N-benzyl-haloacetamide derivative I (R is halogen, primary or secondary lower alkyl or cycloalkyl; X is halogen; Y is H or halogen). n EXAMPLE: N-(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)-α-bromine-iso-valeramide. n USE: Weed killers. Useful for surface treatment of the soil of plowed field and effective to the young weeds and annual and perennial weeds in paddy fields. Effective to galingale which is a weed distrubuted over the world.
