abstract Apparatus for continuously removing fine dust particles from gases, comprising a single stage or a plurality of stages each stage comprising a tray (5) having one or more slit(s) or hole(s) (6) and a baffle plate (7) installed beneath the tray, a gas inlet port (1) for introducing a gas containing fine dust particles and a water inlet port (2) or introducing washing water onto the first stage tray whereby the gas and liquid travel together along each tray and are injected from said slit(s) or hole(s) so as to impinge upon the baffle plate.
