abstract | PURPOSE: A flame retardant polyester composition that is prepared by adding a crystallization accelerator to a modified polyester containing a specific organic phosphorus compound or a mixture of the same and a thermoplastic polyester, thus being good at moldability and mechanical properties. n CONSTITUTION: To (A) 0.1W100 parts by wt of a modified polyester from the acid component comsisting of (a) 0W99 mol% of aromatic dicarboxylic acids as terphthalic acid and (b) 1W100 mol% of an organic phosphorus compound of formla I (R 1 is H, 1W20C alkyl; R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are H, halogens, 1W8C alkyls), e.g., a compound of formula II and III, and the glycol component of (c) 2W10C alkylene glycol are added (B) 0W99.9 parts of a thermoplastic polyester not containing (b) to form a polyester mixture or modified polyester, to which (C) 0.01W 5 parts of a crystallization accelerator as talc is added wherein the phosphorus content in the moldified polyester or polyester mixture is adjusted to 0.001W3 wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
