abstract | PURPOSE: The title coating material having improved adhesivity and processability, comprising mainly a linear thermoplastic polyester block copolymer consisting of crystalline polyester having a low solubility in organic solvents at normal temperatures and a noncrystalline polyester having a high solubility as block units. n CONSTITUTION: 25W100mol% of terephthalic acid (T) and 75W0mol% of isophthalic acid (P) in the total dibasic acid component are reacted with 30W100mol% in the total diol component of ethylene glycol (E) or 1, 4-butane-diol (B) to give a crystalline polyester (A) having a low solubility in organic solvents at normal temperatures. A dibasic acid component, e.g. T or P, is reacted with a diol component, e.g. E, B, or 1,3-butane-diol, in a composition other than that to give (A) to give a noncrystalline polyester (B).
