titleOfInvention Sex attractant of armyworm
abstract PURPOSE: To title agent comprising cis-11-hexadecenyl acetate containing a specific amount of cis-11-hexadecenol as an active component, which shows an extremely high inducing activity of sexual excitement and attraction and is useful for the extermination of noxious insects and for the reduction of the amount of insecticides to be used. n CONSTITUTION: A sex attractant of armyworm (noxious insect of Gramineae orops) comprising cis-11-hexadecenyl acetate containing 1W30%, preferably 5W20%, of cis-11-hexadecenol as an active component, which induces the sexual excitement of male imagoes at high concentration. This attractant shows an extremely high activity to induce the sexual excitement compared with the single use of cis-11-hexadecenyl acetate. n USE: Estimation of the time and the scale of out-break of noxious insects. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
