titleOfInvention | Stabilization of methylene chloride |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare stabilized methylene chloride useful as a solvent for degreasing and washing of metal, by adding methylene chloride with an epoxide compound and a nitroalkane, and optionally an amine. n CONSTITUTION: Methylene chloride is stabilized by adding an epoxide compound such as propylene oxide, and a nitroalkane compound such as nitromethane, and optionally an amine such as diisopropylamine. The amounts of the additives are 0.001W5 parts by weight each, part 100 parts of methylene chloride. The methylene chloride may contain 0.001W5 parts by weight of methanol, per 100 parts of methylene chloride. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
