titleOfInvention | 6'-c-alkyl-3'-deoxykanamycin b or 6'-c-alkyl-3',4'-dideoxykanamycin b and their preparation |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:6'-C-alkyl-3'-dexykanamycin B, 6'-C-alkyl-3',4'-dideoxykanamycin B and their acid addition salts, of the formula I (R is H or OH; one of R 1 and R 2 is H and the other is 1W6C alkyl). n EXAMPLE: 6'(S)-C-Methyl-3',4'-dideoxykanamycin B. n USE: Remedy for infectious diseases caused by various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including resistant-bacteria. Inhibits the growth of resistant-bacteria having 6'-acetyl transferase. n PROCESS: The compound I is prepared by (1) reacting a compound II (D, G are H, etc.; E is an amino-protecting group) with ninhydrin, (2) reacting the resulting compound III (novel) with a compound IV (R 1a is 1W6C lower alkylene), (3) reducing the product with a metal hydride in the presence of an ammonium salt, and eliminating the protecting group optionally after separating the stereo isomers. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
