abstract | PURPOSE: When terephthalic acid containing acetic acid is pneumatically transported by a usual method, the concentration of acetic acid in the inert gas is kept below a apecific level to prevent drain and permit the stable and continuous transportation of terephthalic acid that is used in the production of polyester for a long time. n CONSTITUTION: When therephthalic acid containing acetic acid is pneumatically transported from one vessel to another vessl, the acetic acid vaporises in the inert gas and condenses to form drain, to which impurities in the terephthalic acid concentrates to cause the color uneveness of the polymer and pipe clogging.
