titleOfInvention Production of optical fiber
abstract PURPOSE: To produce optical fiber having superior rupture strength with high work efficiency by coating the surface of glass fiber for light transmission with a resin compsn. contg. a high molecular cpd. and an azido cpd. n CONSTITUTION: A resin compsn. is prepared consisting of a high molecular cpd. (A) such as 1,2-polybutadiene or novolak type phenol resin, an azido cpd. (B) such as azidobenzene or azidophenylamine, a photosensitizer (C) such as 1-nitrosopyrene or cyanoacridine, a silane coupling agent (D) such as γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane or γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, and an org. solvent. The surface of glass fiber for light transmission is coated with the compsn. of 20W25μm thickness and irradiated with rays of light to cure the compsn. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
