abstract |
PURPOSE: To improve the storage stability of a coating composition for the surface treatment of a polycarbonate resin molded article, and to improve the durability of the coating film, by applying the surface of the article successively with a pretreatment liquid and a specific composition composed mainly of a silane reaction mixture, and curing the coating layers with heat. n CONSTITUTION: A polycarbonate resin molded article to be treated is coated with a pretreating liquid obtained by dissolving 5W50wt% of a bisphenol-type epoxy resin in a mixed solvent composed of a lower alcohol and an ethylene glycol alkyl ether, and dried in air. The pretreated articel is further treated with a composition composed of (A) a product obtained by reacting (a1) an aminoalkyl alkoxysilane of formula I with (a2) an epoxy alkoxysilane of formula II(Q is glycidoxy group, etc.), (B) a mixture of (b1) 10W0% of an alkyl-modified methylol melamine of formula III(R 4W9 are H or 1W4C hydrocarbon) and (b2) 90W100% of an alkyd resin, and (C) an acrylic acid derivative (oligomer) of formula IV. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
