titleOfInvention | Manufacture of magnetic powder |
abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the dispersibility and stability in the binder of the magnetic powder of cobalt contained iron oxide by dispersing it in the aqueous solution which dissolves one or two of both zinc sulphate and zinc nitrate. n CONSTITUTION: Cobalt ferrite is grown in an epitaxial form to the iron oxide magnetic powder and then gained magnetic powder of cobalt contained iron oxide is added to the aqueous solution of ZnSO 4 in 0.1M density. Then, the powder is sufficiently agitated by a homomixer to disperse it in the room temperature and after its filtration and cleaning by water the powder is dried during 24 hours in 110°C. By doing so, the edge, orientation ratio and frequency characteristics can remarkably improved and its dispersing stability can be excellent. Hereafter, the powder is stuck on the polyester film in the usual method to form the magnetic tape. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
