titleOfInvention Rubber mat and production thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost rubber mat having adequate cushion property by mixing refuse tyre fragments with an aqueous emulsion of a specified copolymer and with cement, forming the mixture into the shape of a mat, and curing it. n CONSTITUTION: 30 to 70 parts of fragments of under 20mm which have been formed by cutting or craching refuse tyres are mixed with 30 to 15 parts of a 50% aqueous emulsion of a copolymer consisting of 50 to 75% of vinyl acetate, 20 to 10% of ethylene, and 30 to 15% of versatic acid, 30 to 14.9 parts of cement, and 10 to 0.1 parts of cement high-early-strengthening agent. The mixture is extended into the shape of a mat, which cures in 2 to 3 hours. The obtained form exhibits adequately limited rubber elasticity and cushion property suitable for walking on. Because the filmization of the emulsion is effected by consumption of water by the cement, there is produced a rubber mat of stable quality. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
