titleOfInvention Preparation of chinese orthodox pharmaceutical
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a Chinese orthodox pharmaceutical administrable readily daily, in an extraction amount the same or more than the usual decoction, by preparing finely divided crude drugs according to the optimum method selected from three methods depending on the properties of the crude drugs. n CONSTITUTION: Crude drugs to be combined as a Chinese orthodox formula are pulverized to a particle size of about 200 mesh. The powder is then prepared by the optimum one selected from three methods of (a) direct granulating, (b) pouring hot water into the powder allowing to stand for 10min, and drying with hot air, and granulating the powder, and (c) pouring hot water into the powder, allowing to stand for 10min, and freeze-drying. The preparation, packed into a filter paper by one dose, can be administered simply by pouring hot water and allowing to stand for 10min.
