abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a cutting oil composition having excellent lubricity and anti- corrosive properties, by adding an alkali metal salt or an ester of a halogenated benzoic acid derivative. n CONSTITUTION: 0.1W3.0wt% of an alkali metal salt or an ester of a halogenated benzoic acid derivative is used as a main constituent of a solution-type water-soluble cutting oil or an additive such as anti-corrosive agent, extreme pressure additive, etc. The benzoic acid derivative is, e.g. hydroxybenzoic acid, alkoxybenzoic acid, alkylbenzoic acid, etc. pref. having a 1W8C alkyl. A compound having a higher alkyl group is suitable for an additive for a water-soluble cutting oil or an oil-soluble extreme pressure additive. The alkali salt is, e.g. alkanolamine salt, alkali metal salt, NH 4 salt, amine salt, etc., and the ester is, e.g. an alkyl ester, especially a lower alkyl ester such as methyl ester, ethyl ester, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
