titleOfInvention Preparation of l-glutamic acid
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare L-glutamic acid (G), by using strains having improved G- producing ability separated from variations resistant to 2,6-pyridine-dicarboxylic acid. n CONSTITUTION: Variation strains, e.g. Brevibacterium lactofermentum AJ11285 (FERM-P No.4570) or Brevibacterium flavum AJ11286 (FERM-P No.4571), which belong to the genus Previbacterium, are resistant to 2,6-pyridine-dicarboxylic acid, and have the L-glutamic acid (G) producing ability, are cultured, and the accumulated G is collected. The variations are obtained by ultraviolet irradiation or variation inducing agent treatment of the strains. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
