titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic toner |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a toner free from scattering in quantity of frictional electric charge and having high fixability and superior stability in long-term use by using a copolymer resin contg. cinnamic acid comonomer as a toner constituent resin. n CONSTITUTION: A copolymer of cinnamic acid and a vinyl type monomer such as styrene derivatives, (meth)acrylic acid esters or monoolefins or a mixture of the copolymer and other compatible polymer such as styrene resin, acrylic resin or epoxy resin is used as a toner constituent resin. This resin (composition) is required to contain 1W25wt% of cinnamic acid and have a softening point of 170°C or below, preferably 50W150°C. The resin is blended with carbon black, pigment, dye, etc. and pulverized to form a toner by a known pulverizing method, a known liq. spray method or other method. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
