PURPOSE: To reduce green rust formed on the contact surface between a varnished cloth etc., and copper, by adding benzotriazole or a derivative thereof to an electric insulating varnish for fabric tubes, which is used in the production of varnished cloth, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The electric insulation varnish of the purpose is obtained by adding 0.01W3wt%, pref., 0.1W1wt% of at least one of a benzotriazole or a derivative thereof, represented by formulas I and II, wherein R 1 is H, halogen, sulfonic acid group, hydroxyl, carboxyl or lower alkyl, R 2 is R 1 , methoxy, ethoxy or phenoxy, to (i) a varnish which is used in the production of varnished cloth or varnished tubing, such as an oily type or a resin type such as alkyd, epoxy ester, acryl, polyurethane or silicone, or (ii) a modified varnish therefrom. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
