abstract | PURPOSE: The title composition having improved transparency, gloss, impact resistance, whiteness, prticularly low-temperature impact resistance and rigidity, obtained by adding ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a nucleating agent to polypropylene or ethylene-propylene copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: A) 65W85pts.wt. of polypropylene comprising not less than 70 wt% of isotactic polypropylene or an ethylene-propylene copolymer comprising not more than 10wt% of ethylene is blended with B) 15W35pts.wt. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer consisting of not more than 35wt% of vinyl acetate and C) 0.01W 2pts.wt. of an organic carboxylic acid or a metal salt as a nucleating agent based on 100pts.wt. of the total resin. The components A and B having the following relationship between the melt indexes (g/10min) MA and MB and that between the ethylene content E in the component A and the vinyl acetate content V in the component B are used.
