titleOfInvention Prevention of high-temperature decomposition of 3,3'-thiodipropionitrile
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the decomposition of 3,3'-thiodipropionitrile (TDPN) useful as an antiozonant of rubber, at high temperature, by adding a specific compound having a phenolic skeleton. n CONSTITUTION: The decomposition of TDPN at high temperature (e.g. heating at ≥140°C) is prevented by adding (A) a compound of formula I (R 1 , 2 are H or 1W5C alkyl; R 3 is H, 1W5C alkyl, etc.; X is 1W4C alkylene, etc.), e.g. 2,6-di-tertiary- butyl-4-methylphenol, hydroquinone, etc. and (B) a compound of formula II, e.g. 2,2'-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tertiary-butylphenol), to TDPN. Useful for the prevention of heat decomposition of TDPN when it is used as a recovering solvent of an aromatic compound or as a textile dyeing assistant. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
