abstract PURPOSE: To obtain title copolymer, which gives a cured product excellent in tensile strength etc. by the reaction with polyisocyanate, by reacting a saturated hydrocarbon polymer having a hydroxy group on its main chain, with ε-caprolactum, in a specified mol ratio. n CONSTITUTION: Purpose copolymer is obtained, by reacting (a) a polymer which is obtained by hydrogenation of a hydrocarbon polymer of number-average MW 400W 4,8000, having at least one hydroxy group on its main chain which is saturated or mostly saturated, e.g. a polymer prepared by radical polymerization, anionic polymerization, etc. of a conjugated diene, or a conjugated diene and a vinyl monomer, with (b) ε-caprolactum, in such proportions that ≥2mol of (b) component is used for one equivalent of the hydroxy group in the (a) component, at about 100W250°C, for 30minW15hr. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
