titleOfInvention Manufacturing of structual member such as rolling stock and the like
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a structural member excellent in weather resistance, shock resistance and shock absorptive property by forming a non-foaming urethane film layer using non-yellowing organic isocianate on the inner surface of a mold and then a stock solution of foaming plastics to foam unitarily a core material. CONSTITUTION:A urethane prepolymer obtained by mixing non-yellowing isocianate with polyol for urethane for general use is poured beforehand in the inner part of the mold and thereafter by rotating non-foaming urethane film layer of a thickness of 1-3mm. on the inner surface of the mold. Then, a semi-hard or hard foaming plastic stock solution is injected in the mold through an inlet. The solution is left standing for a predetermined period at ordinary temperature, and is foamed to obtain a core material. Since non-yellowing organic isocianate is used as mentioned above, no discoloration in appearance occures even when the thus obtained core material is exposed outdoor for a long period of time as a structual material for rolling stock or the like.
