titleOfInvention Preparation of odorless or low-odor resinous material
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain title material, which is radical-polymerizable at low temperatures, by the reaction of an aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin with an α,β-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid or its ester. n CONSTITUTION: An aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin is reacted with an α,β-unsaturated monocarboxylic aicd or its ester. The aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin is obtained by condensation of an aromatic hydrocarbon and formaldehyde. The typical examples are xylene-formaldehyde resin and toluene-formaldehyde resin. The α,β-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid or its ester is preferably acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or their alkyl esters. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
