titleOfInvention Film for print wrapping
abstract PURPOSE: To produce a film for print wrapping, having excellent print ink adhesion property, transparency and slip property, by incorporating a specific amount of polyethylene glycol into a polyester composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate. n CONSTITUTION: Before the polymerization of a polyester comprising 80 wt% or more of an ethylene terephthalate component is finished, polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 5000 to 200000 is added to the polyester, and the resulting mixture is melt-polymerized to provide a polyethylene glycol-containing polyetster master. This polyester master is mixed with an ethylene terephthalate homopolyester so that the polyethylene glycol content be 0.5 to 10% and the film density be 1.390W1.410 g/cm 3 , and the mixture is melt-extruded, film-molded and biaxially strentched to provide the objective polyetster film. Preferred films have wet angles to water of 25 to 55°. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
