titleOfInvention | Production of molded article having excellent fluid barrier property |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain title molded article having improved mechanical strength and gas and liquid barrier properties and useful as food packaging film, container for gasoline, etc., by a method wherein an olefin resin molded article is treated in an atmosphere contg. a fluorinated hydrocarbon cpd. and a bromofluorohydrocarbon cpd. by ultraviolet-light irradiation. n CONSTITUTION: An olefin resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polybutene is molded into sheet, container, etc. The molded article is treated in an atmosphere contg. a fluorinated hydrocarbon cpd, such as trichlorofluoromethane, tetrafluoromethane, or monochloropentafluoro ethane, and a bromofluoro hydrocarbon cpd, such as monobromotrifluoromethane or dibromodifluoromethane, in a ratio of 5:95W75:25 with ultraviolet-light irradiation by means of an ultraviolet-light irradiation apparatus provided with lamp, such as low-pressure mercury lamp or ultra-high pressure mercury lamp, to obtain the desired molded article. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
