abstract PURPOSE:To produce a hollow molded product or a precurson molded product which has a low shrinkage property, a high drop impact strength, and an improved appearance, by a method wherein polyester having a given spherical crystal diameter is used. CONSTITUTION:Polyester is produced resulting from reaction of terephthal acid component with ethylenegrycol component in the presence of polycondensation catalyst, such as antimony trioxide, germanium dioxide, etc. The polyester is used to produce a hollow molded product, such as bottles, cups and the like, or a precurson mold product, such as films, embossed sheets and the like, by a melt-forming method, the said polyester having a spherical crystal, being 40-150mu in diameter, measured by means of a differential scanning type calorimeter and produced at a peak of a cooling crystalization.
