titleOfInvention Porous polyamide membrane and production thereof
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a porous membrane having improved adhesion to a fibrous material containing a polyamide, by impregnating the fibrous material with a metal salt/methanol solution of the polyamide and then, removing therefrom the methanol and the metal salt. n CONSTITUTION: A fibrous material containing 20W70wt% of a polyamide is impregnated with a solution prepared by dissolving the polyamide in a metal salt/ methanol solution. Then, the methanol and the metal salt are removed from the impregnated fibrous material. A suitable example of the polyamide is nylon 6. As the fibrous material, nonwoven fabric is particularly preferred. As the metal salts which are applicable, those having deliquescence are preferred to obtain increased moisture permeability. Examples of the metal salt include zinc chloride, calcium chloride and aluminum nitrate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
