abstract PURPOSE: To produce title cpd. useful as starting material for sealing cpd. by a method wherein a specified silane cpd. is reacted with a polyoxyalkylene polyether having alkenyloxy gp. at the end of the molecular chain, and the resulting adduct is reacted with a triorganosilanol. n CONSTITUTION: A silane cpd. of formula I (wherein R 1 is substd. or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon gp; X is halogen; a is 2W3) is reacted with a polyoxyalkylene polyether having alkenyloxy gp. at the end of the molecular chain to obtain a polyoxyalkylene polyether having a radical of formula II (wherein R 2 is bivalent hydrocarbon gp.) at the end of the molecular chain. Then this cpd. is reacted with a triorganosilanol of formula III (wherein R 3 is monovalent hydrocarbon gp.) to obtain the desired polyoxyalkylene polyether having an organosiloxane linkage of formula IV (wherein b is 1, 2) at the end of the molecular chain. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
