abstract NEW MATERIAL:The title compound of the formula (R is ≥14C alkyl group). n USE: Antitumor agents. n PROCESS: 1-β-D-Arabinofuranosyl-cytosine-5'-phosphoric acid (ara-CMP), preferably in the form of triethylammonium salt, is dissolved in an organic solvent, e.g. N,N'-dimethylformamide, which will not inhibit the reaction, and dissolved in a 14W23C alcohol, e.g. tetradecanol or stearyl alcohol, preferably in a molar amount of 2W4 times that of ara-CMP at room temperature for 1W24hr.
