titleOfInvention | Production of polyester/polyether block copolymer |
abstract | PURPOSE: To produce a block copolymer having improved polycondensability, with the reduction in the tetrahydrofuran byproduct, by reacting a dibasic acid with a glycol and a polytetramethylene glycol by using a catalyst an organotitanim compound and an organotin compound. n CONSTITUTION: In the production of a polyester/polyether block copolymer containing, as main components, a dibasic acid containing at least 40mol% of terephthalic acid component or an ester-forming derivative of said dibasic acid, a glycol having a molecular weight of below 300, and containing at least 70mol% of butanediol-1,4 and a polytetramethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 300W6000, as the reaction catalyst, a combination is used of an organotitanium compound represented by the formula I or II, wherein R 1 is an alkyl and M is Ca, Mg or Sr, and an organotin compound represented by the formula III or IV, wherein R 2 is an alkyl or an aryl; X 1 WX 3 each is an alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, acyloxy or hydroxyl group or a halogen and Y is O or S. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
