abstract | PURPOSE: To provide an anticorrosive paint composition forming a tough coating film having excellent corrosion protection effect to steel construction, by compounding an unsaturated polyester resin, an organic peroxide, glass flakes, and a specific silane coupling agnet. n CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 100pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester resin such as the one derived from isophthalic acid, (B) 0.5W1.5 parts of an organic peroxide such as methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, (C) 10W70 parts of glass flakes, and (D) 0.01W5 parts of one or more compounds selected from γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, vinyl triethoxysilane, and vinyl tris-β-methoxyethoxysilane. n EFFECT: A coating film having excellent thermal shock resistance, anticorrosive properties, adhesivity, film strength, water resistance, etc., can be obtained even by the direct coating to a steel construction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
