abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain placenta powder useful as drugs, foods, etc. capable of being administered easily without pungent odor, by dipping placenta powder in an oryzanol-containing solution. n CONSTITUTION: Placenta powder is dipped in a γ-oryzanol-containing vegetable oil (e.g., wheat embryo bud oil or rice bran oil) or a solution of oryzanol in an organic solvent (e.g., acetone, a mixed solvent of acetone and alcohol) and deodorized. The vegetable oil can be administered directly as a mixture. The organic solvent is needed to be evaporated.
