titleOfInvention Preparation of cataplasma
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a cataplasma having improved adhesion to the skin, elasticity and heat resistance of the substrate, comprising a specific acrylic additive in a cataplasma composition. n CONSTITUTION: A copolymer of monomers consisting mainly of acrylic acid and sodium acrylate, or a mixture of a polymer of a monomer consisting mainly of acrylic acid and sodium polyacrylate, is incorporated with 0.5W15.0wt% based on the cataplasma composition of an acrylic additive, comprising optionally acrylic acid partly neutralized with a monovalent alkali metal base, an amine, or their mixture with NH 3 . The resulting composition is spread on a piece of cloth, and a release film is applied to the drug surface to form a cataplasma. The additive is a modifier capable of preventing the volatilization of the drug and moisture, a binding or elastic force imparter to the composition, or an adhesion modifier to the skin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
