titleOfInvention Polyester filament yarn for crimping
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester filament yarn useful for crimping through high- speed draw false twisting, having excellent heat-setting properties, by melt spinning a polyester comprising spherulites having a specific diameter formed at the cooling crystallization peak in the measurement with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). n CONSTITUTION: A polyester comprising spherulites having a diameter ≥30μ, preferably ≥50μ, formed at the cooling crystallization peak measured with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), cnsisting mainly of repeating units of ethylene terephthalate, is melt spun at a take-off speed ≥2,500m/min, preferably 2,800W 4,000m/min. The spherulite diameter is obtained by determining a sample about 10μ thick under a polarizing microscope of 500× magnifications. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
