abstract PURPOSE: To save the maintenance man power of stored program type operation control unit of multiplex memory constitution, by using the part other than failed part in address unit caused on the recording media with reselection and reducing the man power required for memory recovery. n CONSTITUTION: The memory control unit 3 is located between CPU and the memory MEMO having two memory banks, the same information is written in the same address of the memory bank of the memory MEMO according to the write-in instruction from the unit 3, and one memory content is read out which is selected in the bank with the readout instruction from the unit 3. The unit 3 is provided with the bank selection control circuit 10, retry control circuit 20, nonresponse detection timer circuit 30 and error information register 50, and one bank of the memory MEMO is selected with the circuit 10, and the circuits 20 and 30 detect whether or not the memory error signal is taken place within readout period specified for the bank, the error pulse outputted from the circuit 30 changes the bank selective operation of the circuit 10 and the part other than failed part is reused. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
