PURPOSE: A polyethylene powder coating composition capable of forming films having improved resistance to water and salt water, with a high bond strength to a metal, comprising a specific modified polyethylene resin and powder polyethylene. n CONSTITUTION: A uniform composition comprising (A) 100pts.wt. of a powdered modified copolymer, obtained by hydrating 5W80mol% of epoxy groups in a copolymer consisting of (a) 60W95wt% of ethylene and (b) 5W40wt% of a glycidyl acrylate monomer, (B) 0W100pts.wt. of powdered polyethylene, and if necessary (C) a filler or an additive, e.g. a pigment, an oxidation stabilizer, an ultraviolet light absorber, or a resin. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
