titleOfInvention Preparation of polyurethane coated substrate
abstract PURPOSE:To prepare the title coated substrate without employing a deffatting procedure by a method wherein a metal material coated by a lubricating material containing a compound having OH group is subjected to press molding to form a core material and, thereafter, isocyanate and polyol are reacted on a preselected portion of a core material. CONSTITUTION:In case of making an instrument panel pad 1 fixed to an upper surface of an instrument panel 3 of an automobile, fox example, by a bolt 4 and a nut 5, a metal material coated by a lubricating material containing a compound having OH group is subjected to punching and press working to form a core material 2. Subsequently, a skin material 8 is placed in a lower mold 11 of a metal mold 10 and a core material 2 not subjected to a deffating procedure is directly atracted to an upper material by a magnet 13, 13'. Thereafter, isocyanate and polyol are reacted within a space formed between a skin material 8 and a core material 2 to form a foamed polyurethane 9.
