titleOfInvention Porous sliding sheet
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the sliding sheet featuring the excellent hardwearing prperties and antistatic performance by securing the surface resistance, the specific gravity and the porosity each in the specified range to the mixture of the burnt polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and the conductive material. n CONSTITUTION: The conductive material (carbon, Cu, etc.) of about 2W75pts.wt. is mixed with the PTFE unburnt powder of 100pts.wt. The conductive material features preferably the surface area of about 20W500m 2 /g and the grain size of about 0.01W150μ each. The liquid lubricant (naphtha, fluid paraffin, xylene, etc.) is mixed with the above mixture, and then the extrusion molding is given after the preform to produce the round rod of the mixture. The round rod is then calendered to be formed into the sheet shape. The sheet thus obtained is then soaked into the trichlene or the like to remove the liquid lubricant and then rolled to be burnt under the rolling state. Thus the sheet is obtained with the surface resistance of 1×10 12 Ω or less, the specific gravity of 0.3W2.7 and the porosity of 20W90% each. Such sheet is used particularly to the inner wall of the magnetic tape cassette or the like in order to reduce the friction force between the cassette and the tape's edge face as well as prevent the charge occurrence. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
