titleOfInvention Stabilization of chlordane
abstract PURPOSE: To stabilize and prevent the thermal decomposition of chlordane (C), a vermicide for wood in the south, by incorporating a compound, e.g. di-n-butyltin bis(2-ethylhexylmercaptoacetate), as a stabilizer into C. n CONSTITUTION: Chlordane (C) is stabilized by incorporating a compound, e.g. di- n-octyltin bis(2-ethylhexylmercaptoacetate), of the formula (R is 1W18C hydrocarbon group; R' is 1W18C alkyl group which may be subtituted by a phenyl, benzyl, cyclohexyl or alkoxy group; x and y are integers 1W3) therein. The amount of the compound is preferably 0.5W5% based on C. The prolonged action and good stability of C to men and cattle can be further improved by the compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
