titleOfInvention | Flame-retardant polyester composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: Title composition that is made by adding a tribromophenol derivative and a specific phosphite ester to a thermoplastic polyester, thus giving moldings for machine parts and automobile parts having improved appearance, mechanical properties. n CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of thermoplastic polyester are added (A) 3W30 parts of a high-molecular-weight flame retarder of tribromophenol derivative consisting mainly of the recurring units given as formula I and II and (B) 0.05W0.5 part of at least one selected from phosphites of formula III (R is 6W20C alkyl) and IV (R' is H, 1W6C alkylene, ether, carbonyl, thioether, sulfon) and they are molten and kneaded. Further, the addition of stabilizer, especially thiodipropionic ester, increase the heat resistance, especially resistance to discoloration caused by heat. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio |
