titleOfInvention Reagent for diagnosing pregnancy
abstract PURPOSE: To accurately diagnose a pregnancy by adding one or more of specified amide compounds or lower alkyl sulfoxides to a reagent for diagnosing the pregnancy to immunologically detect human chorionic gonadotropin by utilizing aggragation reaction of latex particles. n CONSTITUTION: Approx. 1W13% of one or more of compounds, such as urea or N,N-dimethylformamide, of the formula shown, where R 1 signifies H, a lower alkyl group or an amino group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group, and R 2 and R 3 signify H or lower alkyl group, and di(lower alkyl) sulfoxide is added to a reagent for diagnosing a pregnancy by anti-HCG-sensitized latex aggregation reaction (LDAR) detecting human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) from the urine or the like of pregnant women, or reversely by HCG-sensitized latex aggregation inhibition reaction (LAIR). Thus, the pseudo positive or pseudo negative reaction is reduced in the LDAR of LAIR to accurately diagnose the pregnancy. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
