abstract PURPOSE: To prepare an aerosol pesticide composition free from phytotoxicity to vegetables and explosiveness, by adding liquefied petroleum gas or dimethyl ether to a solution obtained by dissolving the pesticide to specific alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: An aerosol stock solution is prepared by dissolving a pesticide, e.g. malathion, to a mixed solvent comprising 1 part of a 1W3C alcohol and 1/3W4 parts of a solvent selected from a 2W6C alkylene glycol, a 1W4C alkyl cellosolve, and a 1W4 alkyl carbitol. 40W75 Parts of the stock solution is mixed with 25W35 parts of liquefied petroleum gas or 30W60 parts of dimethyl ether to obtain 100 parts of the aerosol pesticide composition. The content of the pesticide in the stock solution is usually 0.05W5 parts, and when liquefied petroleum gas is used as propellant, the content of the 1W3C alcohol in the solvent is ≤35 parts. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
