titleOfInvention Moisture exchanger
abstract PURPOSE: A moisfture exchanger which has a high moisure exchange capacity and is greatly impervious to harmful gases to human body, e.g., CO, CO 2 , etc., using a hydrophilic high polymer flat membrance as a moisture exchanging body, prepared by leaching additives from an additive-blended hydrophilic high polymer by using a swelling agent. n CONSTITUTION: To a hydrophilic high polyer, e.g., cellulose diacetatte of an acetylation degreed of 54.7, etc., 10 to 60 wt %, preferably 20 to 40 wt%, an additive, e.g., polyethylene glycol, etc., is added, blended, and then formed into a flat membrance. Then, the flat membrance is treated with an inorganic or organic swelling agent to swell the hydropholic high polymer. As the swelling agent, a NaOH aqueous solution is used, for example. Then, the swelling agent which extracted addtive in the swelling treatment is then removed by washing with water and to cause the adherence of hygroscopic soln. e.g., glycerine, etc., to hydrated hydrophilic high polymer in order to obtain a moisture exchanger. Then, the moisture exchanger is overlapped onto a porus flat membrance supporter, e.g., Japanese paper, etc., to manufacture moisutre exchanger having a flat membrance-multilayered structure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
