abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition of improved processability by increasing the melt-flow value in molding process, by incorporating a blend comprising ABS resin and a vinyl chloride type resin with a small amount of an alkylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol or of bisphenol A. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be prepared by incorporating (1) 100 parts by wt. of a blend comprising ABS resin and a vinyl chloride type resin in a wt. ratio of 30-70: 70-30, with (2) 0.5-5 parts by wt. of an adduct, as a processing auxiliary, obtained by adding (a) 2-200 moles of a 2-3C alkylene oxide (ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide) to 1 mole of a 2-6C polykydric alcohol, or (b) 2-200 moles of an alkylene oxide to 1 mole of bisphenol A and, if necessary, (3) stabilizer(s), pigment(s), lubricant(s), etc. n EFFECT: Capable of obtaining flame-retarded ABS resin with good processability. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
