abstract PURPOSE: To effectively produce a NOx-contg. gas cleaning compsn. while omitting a K 2 CO 3 pulverizing process and preventing lowering of strength by kneading an aq. soln. of K 2 CO 3 with a mixt. of Ca(OH) 2 , cement material and powder activated carbon after which the kneaded material is extrusion granulated and dried. n CONSTITUTION: K 2 CO 3 is dissolved in water and allowed to cool to ordinary temp. Ca(OH) 2 , cement material and powder activated carbon are mixed, and the mixt. is kneaded with the soln. The kneaded material is then extrusion granulated by the pelleter of an extursion molding machine, and the granules are dried to obtain a desired NOx-contg. gas cleaning compsn. By this method a K 2 CO 3 pulverizing process is omitted, and hence the equipment and the number of processes are reduced, lowering the production cost. Since heat of hydration of K 2 CO 3 is radiated, cement material is not hardened. Accordingly, maintenance of machinery is facilitated and the strength of the resulting compsn. is not lowered. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
