abstract | PURPOSE: Title composition with good mechanical and thermal properties and high weld strength ratio, that is composed of an aromatic polyester, flat-shaped glass flakes, an inorganic solid and an epoxy compound in specific proportions. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt of an aromatic polyester with a reduced viscosity of over 0.70 measured in the concentration of 1.2g/100 ml orthchlorophenol at 35°C are incorporated with (B) 5W75 parts of flat-shaped glass flakes with a long axis of less than 1000 microns and an aspect ratio of more than 5 and (C) 5W75 parts of an inorganic solid other than (B) as calcium carbonate or talc. Then 100 parts by wt of the resulting composition is mixed with 0.01W10 parts of an epoxy compound bearing 2 epoxy groups. n EFFECT: The resulting composition gives molded products with high heat distortion temperature, mechanical properties, freeness of warpage and high dimensional stablity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
