titleOfInvention | Preparation of aminated product of copolymer of ethylene and glycidyl acrylate derivative |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the title aminated produce economically, without crosslinking the copolymer, by carrying out the amination reaction using a mixed solvent comprising a secondary amine and a lower alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: 1 Part by weight of a copolymer of ethylene and a glycidly acrylate derivative is mixed with 1-100 parts, pref. 2W20 parts of a mixed solvent comprising a secondary amine and a lower alcohol (vol ratio: 20/80 - 85/15); and ≥ 90% of the epoxy group of said copolymer is aminated by the heterogeneous reaction at a temperature above (T m -10)°C. (T m is melting point of said copolymer), usually at 75W100°C. When the amount of the solvent is less than 1 part, the reaction system becomes too viscous to attain thorough stirring thereof, and when it exceeds 100 parts, the recovery of the aminated compound becomes poor. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
