abstract NEW MATERIAL:Indomethacin glyceride derivatives of formula I (R 1 is alkanoyl; R 2 is H, alkanoyl). n EXAMPLE: 1-Indomethacoyl-3-palmitoylgycerol. n USE: Anti-flammatory agent with extremely reduced side effects such as intestinal disorder. n PREPARATION: For example, the reaction of an indomethacin monoglyceride of formula II with a reactive derivative of fatty acid given as formula: R 1 OH, or between an indomethacin diglyceride of formula III and a reactive derivative of fatty acid of formula R 2 'OH (R' 2 is alkanoyl) gives an indomethacin glyceride derivative of formula I. The reactive derivative of fatty acid is, e.g., an acid anhydride, halide, ester, for example an acid chloride as the acid halide, p-nitrophenyl ester as the ester and a carboxylic hemiester anhydride as the acid anhydride. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
