titleOfInvention Preparation of cathode for electrolysis
abstract PURPOSE: To lower hydrogen over-voltage and also, to improve the durability and then, to prevent the generation of hydrogen sulphide etc. at the time of carrying out electrolysis, by treating Ni or Co plated cathode containing S, Se etc. with heat on occasion of manufacturing cathode for electrolysis of water solution of alkali metal salt. n CONSTITUTION: S, Se compound of thiosulfate, selenite etc. or moreover, hypophosphite, are added in nickel or cobalt salt bath and cathode basic material is plated electrolytically or is plated nonelectrolytically. After that, treatment is carried out at the temperature between 200°C and melting point of covering material, preferably 300W600°C and the cathode for electrolysis of water solution of alkali metal salt is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
