titleOfInvention | Purification of beta-amylase produced by bacillus |
abstract | PURPOSE: To purify β-amylase produced by bacteria Belonging to bacillus genus, economically, in high efficiency, by using aluminum oxide as absorbent and solution of citric acid salt as eluant. n CONSTITUTION: β-Amylase produced by bacteria belonging to Bacillus genus, e.g. Bacillus cereus var. mycoides (FERM-P No. 2391) is adsorbed to activated alumina at a pH of 4W9, pref. 5W8, and eluted the absorbed β-amylase with an aqueous solution of sodium citrate or potassium citrate. The concentration of the salt is usually 0.01W0.05M, and the amount of adsorbed β-amylase is about 10.000 unit/g of alumina having particle size of 100W200 mesh. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
